The Network Project for the Disabled
The Network Project for the Disabled (NPD) is a non-political, non-profit organisation incorporated on 2nd April 2001 as a Muslim initiative to call attention and show concern to the plight of the disabled in our society.
It is an obvious fact that the plight of the disabled in our country today is far from being satisfactory. Over time, there has been a plethora of NGOs, some of whom have the tendency to explore the disabled for their own selfish ends.
At the Network Project for the Disabled, we are poised to make a difference. We are confident and fully appreciative of the enormity of the challenges to be faced now and in the future.
OUR MISSION
The mission statements of NPD are:
- To sensitise the world to the needs of the disabled
- To mobilise support for the disabled in the equalisation of opportunities with other citizens
